Man, Mordon AI
This year, a lot of familiar actors have disappeared in view, and the news of head-flowers leaving the country for gold: Zhang Ye Xing went to a film degree and Kim Sun and Meng Jia went to Los Angeles to study language.
In the past, most of the star news was in the production of films and programmes, which did not disappear into public view for long, fearing that it would be too long. But it's different now. AI's here.
At the beginning of the year, only 30 per cent of new dramas started last year, over 90 per cent of new dramas were produced by AI and fewer and fewer actor jobs were available.
Go abroad, plating gold, do NPC, go home to a small business, go to a production company to earn money...
Winter has arrived, and there are different ways to make a living.
Actor press pause button.
In October, Kim Sun and Mengjia made a hot search. The two were thrown into the cold water as soon as they landed in Los Angeles: a local old language school, which they had enrolled, was declared bankrupt and tuition fees were not refunded.
Prior to that, Kim ' s original brand broadcast was cancelled, and her name was not shown in the fourth quarter of the three-season ensemble " Leave Now ". The job stopped, and she decided to go to America to learn language.
The fellow Mengja also gave herself three months off because of the fewer stage in the country.
In the past, actors in the show world were busy in groups and were afraid of the air; but now, entertainers are flying across the ocean to study.
At the age of 35, Zhang Ye Xing changed his name to Zhang Ye Xing on the social platform and went to American schools to learn photography, lighting and editing from the beginning.
Zhang Jingchu was admitted to the Department of Directors of the American Film Institute at the age of 43.
This is still the case for the head, and during the winter of the video-seeing winter, a group of waist-players became more troubled.
At 6 a.m. on the afternoon of this year, Zheng Zheng Zheng, aged 50, woke up at the Xianhua Qing Palace in makeup and heavy dragon robes on a black short sleeve jacket. After the actor who played Gallis finished, he went to work at 9:00 p.m. and closed at 9:00 p.m.
Twenty years ago, he was a Lee Shi-min from "Li'ang Tang Hero". Now, he's been running dozens of view areas for two years.
First time out, he's going to walk down 20 steps from the second floor. Standing at the stairwell, his hands were sweating and his feet were shaking, "That 20 steps I felt like I'd been walking for half a century." He was embarrassed and ashamed to take pictures of tourists.
It really went on, and the tourists came up and shook his hand and photographed him enthusiastically, and he suddenly realized, "I'm here to make sense."
Before coming to the scenery, he tried almost every road other than the actor: live with the goods, short video, from the media, and making the film, but it didn't go so well.
It's all over the Internet: Are you out of money and out of action? At first, he felt a bit embarrassed and even shaken. It came to mind.
He said, "I'm not a fairy who doesn't eat people's fireworks. I'm an ordinary man who needs to work and to feed his family. I'm going this way, eating on my own.
Today, view areas throughout the country gather older artists who were able to see on television and become new jobs for them.
In Deep Rain, Ko Zhenhai, who beat the snow aunts, re-emerged in the scenery; and in the João opera, the royal master Ma Zhentao, who hung Via wire in the scenery.
On one occasion, he fainted during the summer, but returned to work only a few days later, as he knew that his colleagues were queuing to watch the post.
The head of the Northeast Internship is 35 years old, and he only filmed four days in the first half of the year. Later, in order to make money to support himself, he went to Tarzan to climb with him, go back home and plant land, and eventually chooses to enter the view area as NPC.
The 2,000-dollar daily base salary plus the increase of up to $42,000 a month is much more stable than a short shot.
Younger actors go straight to the night market and the slot.
Hsu Peng is 1 metre 8-3. He graduated from the Central School of Drama, and he used to play a variety of hegemonic president and rich man in short operas.
Before spring, a company had made an appointment with him for two short plays to be the main event; after spring, the two reality projects were all cut off and the company's focus shifted to the AI shorts.
Hsui Peng says 80% of the short play actors are affected today. He now sells cold drinks in the night market in Aoshima City and wants to save some money to plan for the future.
His schoolmate Yuan Ji-Teng sells toys in the night market and earns two or three hundred a day. In '94, Seo Monjong performed almost 100 plays in a cross-border shop, riding a tricycle after spring, selling cold skins, and then taking stage and sound control at Ka Xing ' s advertising company.
It says that being an actor is his dream, but dreams are no substitute for life.
Zhao Zhao has been studying for seven years at the Shanghai School of Drama and has just received a master ' s degree from the Faculty of Performing Sciences in June of this year, and has not performed a full work to date.
In the first week of September, she went to audition for a short-screened female number three, and five girls took a role and she lost.
She then returned to the live room where she worked and prepared the next day's operating script.
The missing set.
In 2025, 115 television shows were given during the last year, a decrease of three quarters compared with 429 in the previous year.
This year, a well-known broker, Yang Jinjin, invited a famous actor, Song Jia, to his podcast.
During the conversation, she said that the theatre project had only 30 per cent opening this year, that some of the actors had signed contracts, but that the investors or the platform had withdrawn their money and could not do so. Song Jia back, she hasn't been in the group for a long time.
This year's spring is also a year of coldness. At the beginning of March, the red fruit short show suspended a large number of real-person projects and the bottom-down score was cancelled.
In 2025, the long drama was cold, the short drama bursting, and the cross-storey was called a “stretch shop”, and the teams paid heavily daily for the recruitment of actors. This year, there are only 150,000 shows in the club, compared to over 200,000 at the peak.
After spring, short-time actor Wu Weibin returned to the shop and found that the apartment building where he lived was empty.
U Weibin is a famous actor in the short play, usually the father of the man and the woman who perform, and earns up to $1,500 a day. When the short play became popular, his group ran back and forth.
But since the beginning of the year, all the scenes that had been scheduled had stopped and he had been in the house for half a month.
There's a group that's still working, and they're working hard on the price. More than a dozen actors compete for a role, and the low-priced ones have to pay for it.
The daily salary of the short-time actor Shen Creek has also fallen from 34,000 to about 1,000, and the quality of life is much lower than before: “When you used to take a cab, drink coffee, and now you have to count on your life.”
It's because the crew has found a perfect replacement.
In February this year, Seedance 2.0publish, with a 90 per cent availability of video generation, AI produced enough video to falsify the truth, and the words “neither male nor male under two” were hot-searched.
The virtual faces created by AI are not tasteful, so the production company simply buys them directly. A single short play costs $100 at a time, buys $500 a year and permanently buys up to $1,500.
The unemployed Lin Min received information from a co-director asking him if he would like to sell his face for a year for $500. She's done it all day long.
She said no, "I'm afraid of the back and I don't even know myself."
But there were still a lot of people who signed and sold their faces. Most of the people who are willing to sell their faces are those who can't see the way out: “They want to change money and move out of the store.”
Those left behind.
After the invasion of the video industry, AI completely subverted the past video production process. In the past, the production of a reality play required a team of dozens of people, including lights, make-up and cameramen, to shoot for more than a week, at least $3.4 million.
But the emergence of AI, which replaced more than one person, was faster, and it took two or three days to complete a single set at a cost of $20,000.
The founder of the Hangzhou Moot Culture said that he used to make a short play, with photographers getting over ten thousand a day and the lead actor getting tens of thousands a day.
There is no need to hire a team at all, just to paste a script of its own in an AI short play system, so that it can be created by splitstoryboard, image, voiceover, subtitle.
With a few months ' salary of 3,000 students, a few days of simple training, a director could make 10 plays a month, at less than 100,000, and earn 600,000.
Ike ' s capital partner Wang Zhen predicted that, when a person could drive the capacity of a hundred people in the past, 30 to 50 per cent of the positions in the cinema would disappear in the next 5 to 10 years.
In the first half of this year, there were 229,000 new Douyin shorts on the line of AI, which resulted in an average of one per minute.
But there are still stubborn people who insist on the idea of the guardian.
Zheng Guo Zheng of the NPC in the scenery, has to revisit his performance that day every day. He said that Li Se-min, who had previously played on the set, could repeat the NG and now rate the audience on the spot.
"I'm not afraid of AI becoming you," Zheng Guoqi said, "I'm afraid that you're becoming AI, like AI, in a pattern, in a way, in a formula."
People who are still working in the film industry are looking for their own way out: She began to write the first short play of her life, saying that if a person did nothing for a long time, he would go crazy.
White Dragon, master's degree in England, has had an actor dream since childhood. Upon his return from school, he paid $300 for a train ticket to the store.
In the cross-section, he continued to play a small role, paid only two or three hundred a day, and the people around him either mocked or persuaded, but he stayed here. He said, “Some performances are beyond AI”.
U Weibin was determined not to sell, but to feed his two daughters who were still in school, and he decided to join the AI army.
He spent $2599 on the AI platform to buy a senior member who wants to learn about AI behind the scenes.
This year, after the festival, he received a female short play, in which he played the father of the man and became his old "daddy" business.
But he knows in his heart that “the best days are over”.
